Presidential Designee:  Vice President for Business Affairs

Appointment:  By Vice President for Business Affairs via nominations. Student nominations via Student Government with at least one (1) appointment to include IRHA President or designee and one (1) appointment to include Reitz Union Board of Managers Chair or designee.

Chair:  Elected by Committee

Responsibilities:  

The purpose of the committee is to provide strategic guidance, oversight, and recommendations for the continuous enhancement of food and beverage services at the University of Florida. Through collaborative engagement, the committee ensures that dining services align with the diverse needs, preferences, and well-being of students, faculty, staff, and campus visitors. The responsibilities of this committee are:

  1. Advise the Vice President for Business Affairs and the Senior Director of Business Services on policies related to university-wide food and beverage programs.
  2. Review and assess current food and beverage offerings—including facilities, pricing, and operations—to identify areas for improvement and explore opportunities for innovation.
  3. Ensure that dining options reflect and support a wide range of dietary requirements, cultural preferences, and accessibility needs.
  4. Promote the availability of nutritious, balanced meal options that contribute to the overall health and wellness of the UF community.

Term:  3 years-members, 1 year-Student
