Associate Provost for Academic and Faculty Affairs

The Associate Provost for Academic and Faculty Affairs serves as a member of the Provost’s administrative team and provides leadership in the assigned areas of responsibility.  The Associate Provost manages the university’s tenure and promotion process, provides leadership for the university-level faculty development efforts, manages faculty personnel issues including policy and processes, and serves as the Office of the Provost’s representative for university governance.

The Associate Provost for Academic and Faculty Affairs supervises four staff members in the execution of their duties including the following:

Primary Responsibilities

Managing the University’s tenure and promotion process:

Leading and managing University-level faculty development efforts:

Monitoring and leading initiatives, as needed, to manage faculty compliance issues:

University Governance:

Additional activities, as needed and assigned by Provost, such as:


The ideal candidate will hold tenure as a Professor or Associate Professor.
