The title of Distinguished Professor/Curator acknowledges an exception record of achievement in the areas of teaching, research and publication, and professional and public service that is recognized both nationally and internationally. An exceptional record of achievement is one that places the candidate at the top of their discipline in at least one area, with a record of significant distinction in the other areas.  The title of Distinguished Professor/Curator is a rare and special achievement.  Guidelines and information about the Distinguished Professor/Curator Awards nominations may be found in this memo from the provost.

 

Distinguished Professor/Curator Lecture Series

The Provost's Office at the University of Florida sponsors a lecture series featuring Distinguished Professors/Curators.  The lectures allow the professors to showcase their research in various settings to a variety of audiences.  Speakers for the series may be nominated by using this form.
